A variety of high purity triglycerides can be prepared for use in feeding studies. We can prepare triglycerides utilizing high purity fatty acids without the use of catalyst for all of the available saturated fatty acids (such as glycerol trilaurate). High purity glycerol trioleate and glycerol trierucate can also be prepared. The preparation of highly unsaturated triglycerides and many nutraceutical lipids can best be prepared with a catalyst so as to avoid bond migration during processing.
