We have worked on interesterification of an antioxidant with a triglyceride to create a lubricant with greatly improve thermal stability. Several synthetic esters could also be enhanced. Non-aqueous emulsion techniques allowed for formulating silicone fluid and vegetable oil emulsions that were shelf stable. It appears that other non-miscible fluids could also be handled in a similar manner. We have experience using medium chain triglycerides (MCT oil) as a gelatin capsule lubricant, the use of powdered fats as lubricants and carriers, as well as polyglycerol and polyglycerol ester production for use as food additives, fuel additives, and drug carriers.
